The Liverpool Catholic Club Figure and Synchronised Skaters would like to invite any interested skaters to join their Synchronised Skating Teams.
What is Synchro???
Synchronised Skating is one of the fastest growing ice sports in the world. It involves a team of skaters from 4 to 20 performing a variety of group formations, skating manoeuvres and types of footwork. Heads, arms, legs and bodies must all be synchronised and in unison. Formations must be accurate and lines straight.
It is a great opportunity to improve your own skating skills whilst working with a team. It is also a fantastic way to make new skating friends.
The LCCFSS synchro teams currently compete at Aussie Skate competitions and have enjoyed great success. Our Open Division team competed at State and National Championships with some success. We would like to invite new members to join our development squad to learn this exciting aspect of figure skating.
The teams train on Monday from 5.15 until 6.45.
There is additional training time on Sunday mornings as required by the teams.
Coaches are Jean McGregor, Adam Hart and Alison Andersen.
Come down and watch, join in if you'd like. Synchro is for ALL ages.
The minimum level required for the Development Squad is Aussie Skate Novice 2 or above (you must have passed Novice 1 and be doing Novice 2 to join this squad).
The minimum skating level required for Aussie Skate Competition is Aussie Skate Intermediate 2 or equivalent (you must have passed Intermediate 1 and be doing Intermediate 2 to enter the competition team).
Entry into the Open Team is by try outs held at various dates in the year.
An Adult Team is planned if there is sufficient interest from qualified skaters.
