Whether you want to skate for fun, fitness, or for competition, the nationally recognised Aussie Skate program will teach you all the moves you need to be a confident and capable skater.

The Aussie Skate program is made with all ages and abilities in mind, providing a fun learning environment and an opportunity to make new friends.

So, if you are looking for a unique sporting experience filled with fun for all the family, Aussie Skate is the program for you.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?

This is an upfront payment and includes one 30 minute lesson with one of our qualified coaches as well as an additional 30 minutes of practice time either before or after your lessons for FREE.

This one off payment is to cover the cost of your Aussie Skate registration and also provides each skater with an Aussie Skate information pack. This includes a backpack, parent information booklet, as well as a handbook for each skater with information on each level and a progress chart to track your skating achievements.

If you are unable to make your lesson time, a make up lesson can be arranged with Skate Hire staff for an alternative time or day.

HOW MANY SKATERS ARE IN EACH CLASS?

Aussie Skate utilises a group based program in order to offer a fun and affordable learning environment for all skaters.

In order to ensure all skaters receive the attention they need, class sizes are kept to a minimum with approx 8-10 students per class.

WHEN WILL THE TERMS BE IN 2011?

Aussie Skate terms run according to NSW school terms, so for 2011:

Term 1: 5 /2 / 2011 - 5 / 4 / 2011 ( 9 weeks)
Term 2: 30 /4 / 2011 - 28 / 6 / 2011 ( 9 weeks)

HOW DO I ENROL IN AUSSIE SKATE?

Enrolments usually commence 3 weeks before a term starts.
To sign up for an Aussie Skate term you need to be a current member of the Liverpool Catholic Club — Adult membership is $7 and Junior $4 for the calendar year. Then come and see the staff at the rink to fill out an enrolment form.

WHAT IS TEST WEEK?

Whilst skaters are assessed throughout their lessons, in the final week of the term all students take part in "Test Week".

Each student is assessed on the skills they have learnt throughout the term in order to get constructive feedback on how they are progressing, the areas they have excelled in and those areas that might need a bit more practice.

Upon passing each level each student is also awarded with an Aussie Skate certificate and a badge as a memento of their skating achievements.
